Arc. Dr. Barka Umaru Mshelia was born in Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria on 5th Oct 1991, and he grew up in Adamawa state, Nigeria
Education
Barka Umaru Mshelia attended Bekaji Primary School, Yola North, Adamawa State and Walter Gowans Memorial College, He then studied Architecture and obtained a Bachelor of Technology in Architecture from Modibbo Adamawa University of Technology, Yola. He also obtained a Master of Technology in Architecture from Modibbo Adamawa University of Technology, Yola.
Career
Early career
Arc. Dr. Barka Umaru Mshelia began his professional journey in the Nigerian corporate landscape with roles in sales, operations, and architecture. His early career laid the groundwork for a future marked by innovation, enterprise, and strategic leadership.
In 2012 Barka began his professional path in the sales division of Net Nik Limited, where he developed foundational skills in client engagement, negotiation, and market analysis. Transitioning into a leadership role, he oversaw day-to-day operational strategies, logistics coordination, and internal systems management at Nik De Panache Ltd in 2016
Combining business insight with technical expertise, Barka served as a site architect, contributing to infrastructure projects and architectural planning in 2018
Mshel Homes Limited
Barka Umaru Mshelia founded Mshel Homes Limited in September 2018. Starting with a focus on real estate development, he successfully expanded his vision, leading to the creation of the Mshel Group of Companies, a diversified business conglomerate spanning multiple industries.
